STUDIO PRODUCTION: PRODUCTION MEETING 3

This meeting is where we had George Lock and Melissa Moore doing the Mock-up for Steals of the Season, So myself and Katie Joslin led the Production meeting. We went between each department with this meeting and worked out where everyone was and what had developed since the last meeting:

VT Team
Talking with VT, the VT Producers, Callum and Conor Deamer, told us that with the Pre-Production of the VT's, they are doing to be in mixed groups for the Pre-Production and then splitting into Teams A and B for the Production stage. This is how they would prefer to work. Discussing the 'Teaser' video, they told us that this would be graphics mainly. Simon Lawrence is in charge of this but was absent from the meeting. We informed VT he needs to speak with the Producers of the show to ensure the graphics all match up and if he is making the Teaser then it needs to match the script.

Presenter challenge VT: Location for this needs to be a High Street but they are discussing filming this in 2 locations. Laura Dagger is in charge of Locations and has asked them to suggest High Streets so she can begin looking at Location Permission. I suggested Rochester and another suggested Maidstone. With the budget for this VT, they're idea currently is £60 for the challenge but this will depend on the store and how much we can do once we have added up our budget.

Online Fails VT: The team have said this VT will be a documentary style, voice overs with a different presenter (!another one to hire!) and led by interviews. They said this VT will be Interview Led with "Slight comedy aspects" to ensure the audience is kept entertained. They have also said there will be a section with "5 ways to avoid this" in the VT but this may be dropped. Currently, their researchers are looking into case studies of Online Fails and looking into copyright laws of using logos or mentioning companies in the VTs.

Old to New VT: The team want this to be a sort of 'Buzzfeed' style video. The eras they want to look into are:
- 70s
- 80s
- 90s
- 2000s
They are debating having a voice over in the VT but they aren't sure yet, but have said if they need one, they will use the presenter from Online Fails VT. They want 2 models for the VT, 1 male and 1 female who will style the outfits. Their inspiration for the VT idea came from the Buzzfeed video below:

I think if they did this sort of video it would work better without a voice over, also this will be either before or after the Dad Shoes section of the show so it works nicely.

DIY VT: This VT is where we will hopefully have an online seller. George Nichols informed us that he has found a contributor who sells on Etsy, makes everything she sells and it really interested to come onboard with the project. The idea for the VT is to 'follow' the seller and watch them create something.

Promos Team
Promos department are looking into what they could do to make a poster for the show.

Trailer: For the trailer, they want the Presenters of the show coming down into a store and stealing a mannequin with an outfit on it. The idea behind this is that it'd be entertaining, interesting and grab the audiences attention. They are currently looking into using a small store in Sittingbourne and the UCA Fashion Department as they're locations.

Title sequence: The team are still looking at Titles but aren't sure on what they would want to do. I suggested looking into the title sequennce for This Morning and Goks Clothes Roadshow. These tile sequences focus on the presenters and from what we can see, our presenters will make this show and they are the focus. So we want a title sequence which is fun, lively and gets the audience ready.
